We flew to Cleveland for a week including Christmas. While in Cleveland we visited with cousins from the Mountford side, the Russell side, and lots of friends. Here is a picture of Santa’s visit to the Russell party on Christmas Eve. Great Grandma Russell is on the left and Santa’s Elves (Laura Lynn and Jill) are behind Ashley and Andrew. Santa sure does look familiar…
After the guests left, Andrew and Louis prepared for Santa’s visit by wearing their adorable matching reindeer pajamas.
On Christmas morning Louis was thrilled to discover his new train set. He also got lots of other toys, which he adored.
Towards the bottom of the pile of presents he unwrapped a book from his mom to encourage an interest in potty training, which he made clear he did not appreciate. (“No books!” “More toys!”)
One of Matt’s gifts was a replacement Miami sweatshirt, which made for a nice photo opportunity.
After a week of parties in Cleveland it was time to return home to Denver. Louis’s and Andrew’s cousins were in town. All three girls were very excited to meet Andrew for the first time and each wanted a turn giving Andrew a bottle, particularly Evelyn. Below are pictures of Alice and Norah helping Grandpa Dean feed Andrew.
Louis loved playing with “my cousins” despite the occasional competition for toys and parent attention. We can’t wait to have the cousins over again as soon as possible.
