The first weekend in June we went to Rehoboth Beach, DE. The weather happened to be pretty mild so it was really enjoyable to be outside and not necessary to be sitting right by the ocean. We headed to Cape Henlopen State Park to visit the Nature Center which was advertised to have a touch pool (horseshoe crabs). When we arrived we found out that they also had bikes for people to borrow. There were even bike options for kids and babies.

We saddled up and started biking around the park. The landscape was a mix of pine trees and sand dunes. It is a beautiful state park.
In these pictures Louis has his sun hat on underneath his bike helmet.

We also spent some time on the beach. We got up close to sunrise on both Saturday and Sunday morning (see Matt and his coffee cup and Louis in his pajamas). We also spent some time in the beach during the day.

Louis really enjoyed hearing the waves roll in and people watching. He got wet up to his ankles but the water was too cold for more than that. But both his parents went swimming.

On other weekends, we’ve played in the water closer to home. Below are some pictures of Louis in the swimming pool by our house. He loves playing in the water. The kiddie pool is 1 ft deep and has a shade covering most of it so it’s an ideal place for Louis to play (picture 1). We’ve also taken him in the adult pool where it’s a little easier for us to move around (video).

In this last picture, Louis and Matt are saluting the sun (I think?).
