The Hicks family came down to D.C. for spring break. We visited the National Zoo on Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day. Because it was a holiday and beautiful weather, the zoo was packed but we had a great time despite the crowds. Below is Matt with Louis and Lindsey carrying Alice.

Because of the warm winter and early spring the cherry blossoms have come early this year. This picture was taken on a neighborhood street near the zoo.

On Sunday we all went to Great Falls National Park. When we arrived we had a picnic lunch that Lindsey and Bryan had prepared. It was a little cloudy but when we started to walk around and see the falls it became very sunny. Don't worry -- Louis was wearing a hat the whole time except for this picture.

More pictures from the weekend are posted on Hicks Happenings. Here are two that were taken by Lindsey with her camera.

Beautiful tree! Maryland can be so beautiful in the spring. I wonder if the daffodils are out at the National Arboretum. By the way, I wasn't worried about Louis's hat. But now that you mention it, Matt doesn't have a hat on either. (Laurie, do you want to step in here and say something?)
ReplyDeleteI facilitate safe sun exposure by packing the SPF 50 sunscreen, but I let adults make their own choices. :)
